We are on a mission to improve the quality of life
Mirina Foundation is an organization in
Kenya founded in 2019 and is committed to environmental conservation, advocacy for the people living with disabilities, and
promoting girls’ rights and education through advocacy, capacity building,
sanitation and awareness creation.
Due to the increased numbers of girls being married at
childhood because of inadequate access to education, poverty, negative social
and cultural norms, lack of awareness of girls’ rights, and laws against child
marriage, is amongst the key reasons why Mirina Foundation rose up to empower
and change lives of girls in the community and the nation as a whole.
The Foundation was officially registered in the year 2025. We work with different communities in Kenya and across the African continent having Nairobi Slums as the model. Over the years, Mirina Foundation has been able to create awareness of girls’ rights and values and climate resilience in Kenyan communities through community-based programs and initiatives.
